Riding Lessons
You will receive individual attention in classes at The Horseback Riding Barn. We keep class sizes small, and each class will be highly customized to your level. You progress at your pace.
As a beginner, you'll learn about tacking the horse, and how each element of tack contributes to riding balance, steering, and speed control. You'll learn to walk the horse, and later progress to trotting and cantering. You'll refine your skills as an intermediate or advanced rider, perhaps choosing to move on to dressage, equitation, or jumping competitions.

You'll spend time with the horse - learning how to care for and handle the horse while feeding, grooming, and preparing the horse for riding - activities that establish a relationship with the horse.
Safety
Safe handling and riding are foremost at every level, not an afterthought in our classes. However, equestrian sports do carry some risk. Please read our legal statement.
Enrolling
We need to assess your capabilities and level before you enroll. Class sizes are limited and availability varies, so please schedule an assessment as soon as possible.
Introductory lessons are available by appointment.
